It is a onion and tomato based curry which relies mainly on the starch from the boiled potatoes.
So depending on how your choice,you can make it watery or thick.
This is one dish that can be served with something as simple like Roti’s or Plain Rice and also served as side dish with Poori’s and Kachori’s.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 2-3 medium sized potatoes
  • 1 big onion
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes
  • 1-2 tsp chilli powder
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp chole masala
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • Coriander for garnishing
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt as per taste.


METHOD :

  • First boil the potatoes.
  • Sideby chop the onions and tomatoes finely.
  • Remove the skin of boiled potatoes and coarsely smash them.
  • In a pan add oil.To this oil add the cumin seeds.
  • Once the cumin seeds starts crackling add the finely chopped onions and saute till the onion turns golden brown.
  • Now add the finely chopped tomatoes and saute till they nicely gets blend in the pan.
  • Add chilli powder,turmeric,garam masala,kasuri methi,coriander powder,chole masala,black pepper powder and saute it till the gravy releases the oil.
  • Now add the finely coarsely smashed potatoes to the gravy masala and mix all properly.
  • Add water to the mix.
  • The consistency of the gravy should not be too thick and not too flowy.
  • Finely add required amount of salt to the gravy.
  • Let it cook for next 5-10 minutes.
  • Your Aloo Sabzi is ready to serve.
  • It can be eaten with Poori,Khasta Kachori,boiled or steamed rice or Roti/Chapati.

STEP BY STEP METHOD OF PREPARING TARI WAALE ALOO KI SABZI | BHANDAREWALE ALOO KI SABZI | ALOO KI SABZI | आलू की सब्जी



  • First boil the potatoes.
  • Sideby chop the onions and tomatoes finely.
