Milk Powder Modak | Instant Modak Recipe with step by step photo.Modaks are the favourite offerings for lord Ganesha during 10 days of Ganesh Chaturthi.Traditionally the modaks are made out from coconut,jaggery or sugar mixture.But here we have given a bit variation to the traditional recipe of making modaks.

Here the instant mawa modaks are prepared from milk powder which is easily available in local markets.These modaks tastes like peda’s.If you have access to bring fresh and unadulterated mawa or khoya from the market then you can easily go for that too.

But this version of milk powder modak’s also taste’s best.So let’s try it for this Ganesh Chaturthi.

Milk Powder Modak | Instant Modak Recipe

(1 CUP = 200 ML)

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 ½ cup Milk powder
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ cup sugar or as per your taste
  • 1 tbsp Desi ghee
  • 1-2 tbsp Kesar milk for colour
Ingredients

 METHOD :

  • In a pan add desi ghee.
  • Now add milk to it.
  • Mix well.
  • Add milk powder and mix well everything.
  • Mix till milk powder comes together.
  • Now add sugar to it.
  • Mix everything.
  • Cook till the mixture comes together and starts leaving the sides of pan.
  • Add saffron or kesar milk and mix well again.
  • Your mawa is ready now.
  • Let it cool completely.
  • Now take a modak mould.
  • Grease it with ghee from inside.
  • Now fill the mould with the prepared mawa mix.
  • Press the mawa nicely into the mould.
  • Now remove the modak from the mould.
  • Your Instant Mawa Modak from milk powder is ready.
  • Serve this delicious sweet to lord Ganesha for this festive season.
