Tamrind Chutney is a sweet and sour dish which is generally served with most of the snack dishes in most of the parts of the country.There are different ways of making tamrind chutney’s.It can be made with dates,jaggery or sometimes with sugar.Here we are blending the tamrind with jaggery.Its a quick blend because not always we get the dates availability in our homes.So lets give a quick start to our this mouth watering recipe.

TAMRIND CHUTNEY | TAMRIND-JAGGERY CHUTNEY

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup soaked Tamrind
  • 1 cup grated Jaggery
  • 1 tsp red chiili powder
  • Black salt/Regular salt as per the taste.



METHOD :

  • Soak the tamrind in warm water for 2-3 hours.
  • Grate the jaggery.
  • In a mixer jar add the soaked tamrind,grated jaggery,chilli powder and black salt/regular salt.
  • Blend them to a fine paste.
  • Now strain the paste with the help of colander.
  • After straining the paste we get a fine paste of tamrind.
  • This is your tamrind-jaggery chutney.
  • You can serve it with multiple snack dishes like Samosa,Ragda Pattice,Bhel,Pakodas, Roti Nacho’s Chaat,etc.



STEP BY STEP METHOD OF PREPARING TAMRIND CHUTNEY :
