PALKACHI PATAL BHAJI | MAHARASHTRIAN STYLE SPINACH CURRY RECIPE

Palak or Spinach curry is one the healthy dish prepared in different variations. Here I am preparing it in Maharashtrian style or call it as desi style…it is popular as Palkachi Patal Bhaji…where we have the semi thick gravy for the spinach curry.

It is also prepared in different variations in Maharashtra like Takatli Palak..i.e.the spinach cooked in butter milk.

This recipe I have learnt from my mother in law….and really started eating spinach from there….my daughters are also great fond of this dish.

Here in this recipe we just have to boil the spinach as usual and then add the paste of roasted peanuts, chilli and garlic together. The secret ingredient of this recipe is besan that gives the spinach gravy the right consistency and the taste as well.

Do try it once and this recipe would ruin your kitchen…Mostly it goes tasty with Bajra Bhakri…but if not available can taste nice with Chapati’s also…

So lets start with the recipe..

You can also try some more Maharashtrian dishes…
