Once again the all time favourite summer drink consumed by the kids…its nothing but Mango Frooti…this really remind me of my childhood day’s.This was one of my favourite cold drink.The sweet and tangy taste of frooti is really loved by kids.

I always wanted to prepare it at home for I always want my children to consume the homemade food items.

This is a very easy recipe to make.Like Aam Panha the recipe is same just in addition add the good quality ripen mango.Here I have used the Kesar Mango.You can make it with any quality of Mangoes.Just see that the mangoes are not too fibrous.

Here the raw mango used should be quite sour so that we get that tangy taste.Also the sugar added should be as per your taste requirements.The water consistency of frooti should be properly adjusted.Take care that you don’t add too much of water or the taste would get disturbed.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 2 cups chopped Riped Mangoes
  • 1 cup chopped Raw Mango
  • 1 ½ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ cup water to make sugar syrup
  • 6-7 cups or more water ( as per dilution needed )



METHOD :

  • Chop the riped mangoes first and keep them aside.
  • Next chop the raw mango/kairi and keep aside.
  • In a pressure cooker add both chopped riped mangoes and raw mango.
  • Mix it well.
  • Pressure cook them to 3-4 whistles.
  • After pressure cooked let them get cooled down.
  • Once the cooked mangoes cools down add them to a mixer grinder to make a fine paste.
  • Remove the paste in a bowl and keep aside.
  • In a pan add sugar and water to make sugar syrup.(Addition of sugar is as per your taste)
  • Cook the syrup till it comes to boil.
  • Once boiling of the syrup starts put off the gas and let the syrup cool down.
  • Now add the cooled sugar syrup to the mango paste.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Now strain this mixture with the help of strainer so that the lumps and fibres if present in mangoes gets removed back.
  • Collect the strained mango puree in a bowl.
  • Now add required amount of water to it and adjust the consistency as like the frooti we get in market.
  • Also if required add more sugar syrup if you need more sweetness.
  • Your Mango Frooti is ready.
  • Serve it chilled and enjoy the sip…
