Basic Eggless Cake comes under sweet dessert category.Its a light,soft and spongy cake.The main ingredients are maida/all purpose flour,butter,curd/dahi,sugar and raising agents.The best technique of making a soft and light cake is that the ingredients should be taken in their standard measurements.
I had tried various methods of making eggless cake.But all methods failed.But when tried the cake by this method it came out to be perfect.
This eggless cake can be prepared on any occasions.My daughters loves the cake most.So we don’t need any occasion to make it.Also its preparation is so easy that it can be made super easily.Here in this cake you can add any edible colour to the cake batter because small childrens loves colours.Also you can try using different inscence to change the flavours accordingly.
So lets start with this cake recipe quickly.
BASIC EGGLESS CAKE | EGGLESS CAKE | PLAIN CAKE

INGREDIENTS :
- 1 ½ cup /(1.5 cup) maida/all purpose flour
- ½ cup melted butter
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup cold milk
- 4 tbsp curd/dahi
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp pineapple inscence
METHOD :
- First sieve the maida/all purpose flour,baking powder and baking soda together.
- Grease the baking tray and then dust it with maida.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees for 5-10 minutes.
- Now be quick in the procedure of making the cake.
- In a bowl add melted butter and powdered sugar.
- Mix them all well.
- Add dahi/curd to the above mixture.
- Then add water to the mix.
- Mix it till a smooth paste is formed.
- Now add vinegar to the mixture.
- Whisk till everything gets mix well.
- Now add pineapple inscence to the mixture.(You may add any inscence as per your taste.)
- Add edible yellow colour to the mixture.(You may add any food colour as per your choice.)
- Again give it a nice mix.
- Add the sieved maida mixture in batches to the above mixture.
- Mix the mixture by cut and fold method slowly.
- Pour the milk as required to the batter.
- Mix the batter to a smooth consistency.
- Pour the cake batter into the greased baking tray.
- Tap the tray 2-3 times so that the batter gets settled down properly,
- Now immediately keep the baking tray into the oven.
- Bake the cake at 180 degrees for next 40-45 minutes in the preheated oven.(The baking time may vary as per the models of oven.)
- After 45 minutes remove the tray and let it get cooler for next 10 minutes.
- Now turn the tray upside down on a plate and tap the tray from bottom to remove the cake.
- Your Basic Eggless Cake is ready to eat.
NOTE :
- While making a cake keep in mind that you should always whisk the batter in one direction only.
- You can use any edible oil or ghee to replace butter.
- The quantities mentioned in the ingredients are the standard measurements.
- Please use the same measurement.
- Keep the tray for baking immediately after the batter is poured into it.
