Sesame seeds Ladoo or also called as Til Gul Ladoo is a sweet dish which is prepared by the mixture of sesame seed/til and jaggery/gul as main ingredients.This is one of the healthiest dish which not only provides nutrients but also keeps our body warmer in winters.You can prepare it on any occasion,but its specially prepared during the auspicious festival of Makarsankranti which comes in the month of January.

TIL LADOO | TIL GUL LADOO | SESAME SEEDS LADOO

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 cup til/ sesame seeds
  • 1 cup jaggery/gul
  • 1 cup roasted & grated dry coconut
  • 1/4 cup roasted peanut powder/shengdanyacha kut
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 3-4 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp cardomon powder
  • Dry fruits like cashew nuts, almonds,etc.to your choice.

METHOD :

  • In a pan roast the til/sesame seeds till they change their colour.
  • Keep the til aside.And let them get cool.
  • Now grind the til coarsely in a mixer grinder.
  • Roast the grated dry coconut till it changes it’s colour to golden brown.
  • Roast the peanuts and grind them to a coarse powder.
  • Also chop the dry fruits into small pieces.
  • Take the ghee in a pan and let it get warmer.
  • Now add the grated jaggery to the pan and give it a nice mix.
  • Add water to the jaggery and again give it a nice mix.
  • Let the jaggery melt.
  • Once the jaggery starts boiling,pour a drop of melted jaggery into the bowl of water and see that weather a soft ball is formed.If you press this ball it will get flattened like a pan cake.
  • This is the sign that your jaggery/gul paak is done.
  • At this stage put off the gas and immediately pour the coarsely grinded til,grinded peanuts,roasted coconut,dry fruits and cardomon powder to the pan.
  • Mix everything well.
  • Now transfer this mixture into a mixer grinder and grind it so that every ingredients gets mixed properly.
  • Remove the mixture from the mixer in a plate.
  • Now grease the palm of your hand with oil and take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into round shaped ladoo’s.
  • Make all ladoo’s in same manner.
  • Your Til Gul Ladoo’s are ready to eat.

STEP BY STEP METHOD OF PREPARING TIL GUL LADOO’S:
