Bottle gourd ( भोपळा ) thalipeeth is generally a mix of grated bottle gourd and thalipeeth bhajni .It’s a healthy and nutritious option for breakfast and tiffin box.Children generally hate eating bottle gourds.So one can grate it and mix it with thalipeeth bhajni and they will surely love it.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 2 cups Thalipeeth bhajni
  • 1 cup grated (किसलेले ) bottle gourd (भोपळा )
  • 1 cup onion puree
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 tspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tspoon red chilli powder
  • Coriander leaves ( कोथिंबीर )
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil.


METHOD :

  • First grate the bottle gourd.
  • Add onion puree to the grated bottle gourd.
  • Now add tomato puree to the mix.
  • Add chilli powder,turmeric powder, coriander,and salt.
  • Mix everything added properly.
  • Add thalipeeth bhajni to the above mixture.
  • Mix the batter properly.
  • Take a muslin cloth or a cotton handkerchief cloth.Wet it evenly with water.Spread the cloth over the plate.
  • Take a ball shaped piece of thalipeeth batter.
  • Flattened it over the plate with the tips of fingers and give it around shape.
  • Now make holes on the rolled piece of thalipeeth with a tip of finger. Now lift the cloth from the plate and turn it upon the tava.
  • Remove the cloth and let the thalipeeth cook.
  • Now pour the oil over it and turn to other side.
  • Let it cook for next few minutes till it gets crisp.
  • Your bottle gourd thalipeeth is now ready to eat.
  • Serve it hot with pickle or a cup of curd.


NOTE :

  • Grate the bottle-gourd justbefore mixing into the batter.
  • If we grate the bottle-gourd early it may fall black in colour.


STEP BY STEP METHOD OF PREPARING BOTTLE GOURD THALIPEETH :
